Manual boost controller is a waste of time. Why not just leave the wastegate disconnected if that's what you want to do.
Saab invented APC. It serves a purpose (engine not blow up)
Without it you have no way to prevent detonation. Do you have an air fuel ratio gauge? If not I bet you will damage the engine from it being too lean under boost.
Throw the manual controller in the trash. Connect the apc pressure transducer wires together (I do this at the apc box in ten minutes rather than under the dash) The car will now boost until it detects knock, which is as high as you should be running it anyway.
There is a reason that stuff is on your car. Saab designed it to be fast, yet last 250,000 miles. Manual boost controller + not right performance stuff = engine job
