I don't have a lot of experience dealing with sludge, but I do know that it's best to avoid it, and that it doesn't happen overnight. Use top quality synthetic oils, keep an eye on a: what comes out of the drain, and b: what's under your valve cover.
There are known PCV problems with the B235, so the underlying problem has to be addressed if it hasn't been. I don't own one, don't know anything about fixing that situation.
I think the prescription for the sludged engine has to depend on how bad it is. if it looks like the bmw attached, solvent isn't going to help you. The most basic thing to do: change your oil more often, no matter what oil you use. You can switch to synthetic oil if you don't already use it (which also should be changed on short intervals for a while). Maybe after you've done this for a while and your engine looks better, use an engine flush before you start running normal oil change intervals again.
