To set your base fuel pressure loosen the self locking jam nut (9/16" or 14mm end wrench) and turn the set screw (3/16" allen wrench) clockwise for more pressure and counterclockwise for less pressure. For standard (21#) injectors 36psi is a good place to start, for 24# injectors (27# at 3 bar) you can go a few lbs less. For 30# injectors (34# at 3 bar) 28 to 30 psi is a good place to start. Always set your base pressure with the supply line unhooked and be sure to plug it so there isn't a vacuum leak. You will notice that with the line attached your fuel pressure will decrease because the rise in rate feature works in reverse when vacuum is present. Attach your supply line to the open hose barb with the little white plastic restrictor in it's ID on the side of the hat section facing the firewall. The other two lines don't attach to anything. One of them is just a vent and the other one has the one way valve attached which prevents a vacuum leak when the adjustable needle valve is used for rise in rate adjustment as necessary. Just leave the needle valve closed initially which will produce the full 1.67 rise in rate. If and when a wide band air fuel ratio gauge is used for fine tuning you can open the needle valve to bleed off some of the rise in rate if you found that your fuel mixture was too rich at high boost levels. You would never open it more that 1/2 turn, 1 1/4 turns brings it back to a standard fuel pressure regulator!
