Frequent fuel cutoff
Posted by JoeL [Email] (more from JoeL) on Sun, 11 Sep 2011 12:18:03
Hello all, I usually post on the non performance forum. I have a 2000 9-3 se hot with stage 1 PPC. I use 93 0ctane fuel only. I used to get the occasional fuel cutoff when I really pushed the car at high rpm while passing someone. I am assuming it is fuel cutout because it feels likr the car is really bucking hard until I let up a bit on the throttle.
Within the last 3 months I replaced the stock downpipe with a 3 inch GS version and retained the stock exhaust.Problem is that cutoff seems to occur much more frequently when I try to pass someone quickly mainly when I am in Sport mode. The boost indicator is in the red at this time. Everything else is stock. Should I get a different flash or is there something else I need to do? There are no codes.
