Might be the manual. I found the Haynes manuals to be fairly lightweight, and being an amateur mechanic, the more information, the better. See if you can get ahold of a factory manual. eEuroparts, I think, used to have them, but I'm not sure of the years covered. I bought them for 900s from 1981 - 1992, having had four. Newer manuals had individual "books" instead of the 1981 vintage binder.
