Steve, I think your readings are about what I've been seeing in my 88' 9000T as well. I have the factory SAAB-VDO oil pressure and oil temp gauges in my car and the temp reading stays around 180F. I've seen it get as high as 200F but that was with me running the car pretty hard a few times, it usually just stays about 180F during normal driving.
Pressure wise, that gauge usually sits around 18-20 psi at idle and when driving with RPM's in the 3,000-3,500 range(highway)it goes to 40-45 psi and stay there. Haven't seen it go any higher than that. I use 10W-30.
I know you didn't ask but my VDO EGT reads about 850F at idle, 1050-1100F driving around town, then about 1250F while on the highway doing 75-80 mph or so.
By the way, after reading a few post here of those who've done it, I finally pulled my A/C system out yesterday.
It didn't work and this is Montana, so not real summers here....
See Ya,
Phil
