I agree with your assessment that GM is playing a big role in the deterioration of Saab's customer service. One problem I'm having is that I took over the lease of this car at 12,000 miles; however, I did it through the original dealership and thusly through Saab. The car was definitely under warranty then and went on to receive every scheduled maintenance, as well as a new DI when the original one fried itself on Storrow Drive in Boston one 6 degree January day.
Customer service told me that since I was the second owner, there wasn't anything they could do for me (save the $2,000 toward the $7,000-$8,000 repair estimate).
