What Eric said. My one addition is that for the step you are showing in the photos (pressing out the middle driveshaft/CV joint/outer axle stub assembly from the steering hub assembly), is that it is a LOT easier to use a two jaw puller than a three jaw version (assuming you don't have a giant industrial shop press in your garage). The claws of the two jaw puller will neatly slot under two of the flanges where the backing plate attaches with those large Philips screws, whereas at least one of the claws of the three jaw puller will slide right off no matter how you try to align it due to the shape of the hub. My $0.02 (I just did this 4 times this weekend while cleaning up some spare parts).
I do remember withdrawing the middle T-shaped driveshaft from the CV joint when I redid them a couple of years ago. I'll be damned if I can remember how, though. It couldn't have been that hard, as I'm basically an idiot. I vaguely remember it involving pounding, a bench vice, and some swearing, but that pretty much applies to almost anything I do in the garage these days.
BTW, if you screw anything up, I have 4 spares (as alluded to above).
