I found it fairly easy to replace the fuel line on my '69 Sonett V4.
The trick is doing it without getting gas spilled all down in the swiss cheese panel area! (ask me how I know)
I also replaced the mechanical fuel pump with an electric pump, and put a filter in. I put both of these in the "swiss cheese" panel below the tank.
So a crude diagram looks like:
{TANK}-(hard line)--(flexible line)--{filter}--(flex line)--(electric pump)--(flex line)--(LONG hard line)
The last LONG hard line runs from the bottom of the swiss cheese panel up through the firewall to the front of the tranny area. It is just a large diameter long section of 1/4" (I think) brake line, available at any car parts store.
This seems to work fairly well. (I also installed a pressure regulator just below the carb (weber 34ICH)).
