Sonett III vs. Sonett II doors--goin' all the way! Posted by patquin [Email] (#52) [Profile/Gallery] (more from patquin) on Sun, 24 Jul 2005 06:47:39 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Visiting a friend with a Sonett III a few weeks ago, I was stunned to see that the windows on the Sonett IIIs go all the way down! The Sonett II windows stop with about an inch left to go. For those of us with that nagging ache on the bottom of our left arm, this presents a wonderful possibility.
I put up pictures of two Sonetts for a comparison and the height of the door body and door opening looks the same. The glass is different on the rear corner, obviously.
So can anyone explain the difference between the doors? More importantly, is there any chance we can pull the hardware from a III to go into a II to make the window go all the way? Sounds like a nightmare--but then again, a nice winter workshop project idea.
