Not exactly what you mean by "lighter" are you just referring to steering/road feel?

I think the chassis on the 9-3ss is worlds ahead of the viggen's outdated chassis. Like Mike stated the ride characteristics in itself show that however I have zero complaints with the ride characteristics of my viggen! Also how there are a few upgrades which should be performed of the viggen's to reduce torquesteer & thus making the car more liveable isn't a issue on the 9-3 aero's, there is quite a huge power/torque difference though!

When I drove my brother's aero it did not feel "lighter" however it did remind me more of my SPG. The aero had MUCH better steering feel & also does not have all the weak spots the viggens chassis has.

I also think the tall narrow chassis does not help the handling of the viggen. Like my last instructor told me..... "technically you have the worst handling car out here today"..... he also stated "MAN would I be pissed off if I was in that 911 (996) & had a 5dr FWD family sedan on my bumper waiting to pass".

Also, FWIW .... stock viggens usually dyno around 215 whp & 270 wtq. Which equals 250 HP & 300-310 tq! Which is a bit more then the Stage 1 BSR kit, maybe consider stage II or III :)
