I have the same car, and no problem with my compass. Sorry to hear about it.

My most annoying problem is this: If I mistakenly hit the trunk open key from far away, then try to lower the top with the remote, of course nothing happens. But sometimes it throws the whole top into a tizzy, so it won't go down at all (either with the dash switch or the remote) for a couple of hours, until it gets over it.
