Sound system default settings/configuration

I just purchased an '06 9-3 convertible and had the XM Commander installed. Unfortunately it's somewhat of a pain to select the XM radio (select CD, select Change Media, select AUX input). Too many steps. What is worse is when you turn the car off, the next time you turn the car on the sound system defaults to the radio. Is there a way to program the sound system to default to the last setting before turning the car off?
Thanks
