I love the Xenon headlights. The Xenons produce a whiter light, rather than ordinary Halogens which produce a yellowish light. I agree it does take some getting used to (since most of us are used to the ordinary halogen headlights). The sharp cutoff is typical of European cars and supposed to prevent glare to oncoming vehicles. But the beam patterns are more uniform and thrown further down the road than ordinary lights. The self levelling feature is to compensate for rearward weight bias especially when towing, or when carrying passengers, etc.
