My wifes 2003 9-3 Arc 46k, had a dead battery 5 weeks ago. Her car is just out of warranty 1 month, we called AAA, they came out and tried to Jump it, ...no go. Diagnosis was DEAD BATTERY!! The AAA guy said that he had a OEM battery on his truck, so he put in and the car started fine! BUT................. the Infotainement, radio, turn signals, everything was dead or blank, though car starts fine!
Called Ruggeri's SAAB,West Chester, PA they said "the car had to be reprogrammed and it shouldn't take long" . Went in 2 days later, ooops they said the radio was "fried". Somehow they are blaming AAA for screwing up trying to jump the car in the first place. The dealership says they might have not had the black to black or red to red right?..................ordered new radio, wasn't coming in for two weeks!!! SILENT CAR EVERYDAY, drove us crazy!!! .....Two weeks go by...dealership ordered wrong radio, right one ordered, but wont be in for 1 week...............Now 3 1/2 weeks of SILENCE in the car, still starts and runs fine. Last friday was going in to have the radio replaced......dealership calls 6 hours later..."Umm sir, we replaced the radio, still doesn't work, replaced Ampand still doesn't work, we seem to not be able to find the problem""the cars computer is not giving us codes for the failure" "oh and by the way the battery that was put in your car doesn't fit correctly" When AAA tried to jump your car, it may have FRIED the electrical systems" GREAT!!!!!
I called AAA immediately and SAAB USA to file complaints!
The end result is NEVER have your car jumped by AAA, have it towed to the dealership!!
I will post a END Result of this fiasco when its fixed!
