I think CR routinely gives Saab a bad rap. They seem to always rate Saab vehicles poorly in most areas but if you look at owner ratings they are significantly higher. It may just be the enormous degree of owner loyalty that Saab owners have towards their mark that causes an owner rating that is so high. I am on my first Saab '06 9-3 convert and have gotten over my misgivings of the purchase, mostly caused by the negative press about the car to begin with. If they were truly as below average as CR reports their sales and popularity would be suffering greatly.
