Hi there, I bought an 07 9-3 SS 6speed manual back in April 07. Although the car has been mechanically reliable I have been extremely displeased with the overall quality of the car. I can get over the "el cheapo" interior plastics as I love the design of the dash and the overall feel of everything. However, the notchy shifter took longer to accept. One thing that I just cannot get over is the amount of squeaks, rattles, buzzes, and groans from the interior. Every bump, every ripple or imperfection in the road sends out a series of noises from the doors, the center console, the seats, and most especially the sunroof. The dealer has been terrible and not addressed any of these. They tell me it is "normal". Normal for a 5 month old 32K car with 12,000 miles on it!???? I know there are some do-it-yourself fixes to the sunroof creaks and maybe I can find the source of the others and fix them too but it's so disappointing that you spend so much money on a "premium" car to have these issues. I LOVE the 08 Turbo X but I don't think I could ever, ever buy another new saab. This thing feels 5 years old after 5 months. I agree that maybe I just got a bad seed, but it has put an awful taste in my mouth for Saab. I was so excited to buy the car and I wish there was something that I could do to make me love it nearly as much as my 04 Mazda3 or even my 98 Hyundai!!!! If anyone knows of anything that might help me address these creaks, squeaks and rattles I'm all ears :-). I wish you much better luck with yours. It's a shame because they really are beautiful cars!
