The ignition key / remote for my 06 9-3 is deteriorating very quickly. It has been in service for 14 months since I purchased the car new. The hard plastic shell part is fine and the key functions well. The soft pliable rubber part to operate the door locks, trunk and car lights is becoming alligatored and very thin on top of the buttons. The white icons are still in good shape the black rubber around the white icons is going and going fast. The loop part on the top end of the key is gummy. Is this typical in SAAB keys? Would it be covered under warranty to replace or will they say it is a wear item that is not covered.
