I also have an '06 9-3 SC 2.0T. Steel Grey w/5-sp? Yours? Mine just happened to turn 32,000 miles on the way to work this morning. Thing is, my rear pads were gone at 22,000 miles, and I don't know anyone that's easier on brakes than I am. I go for miles without using them. The pads on my 1995 900S were first changed at 100,000 miles and they still had life remaining.
The fronts on my 9-3 are definitely ceramic; virtually no dust and the rotors and pads still look like new. The rear rotors are scored, not really any worse than when I changed the pads at 22k. (I went the cheap route and re-used the discs. No regrets there $59 to DIY). The OEM rear pads made tons of dust, as do the EBC Greenstuffs that I replaced them with. I'm curious if your car came equipped with the same pads. Do your front wheels stay clean while your rears turn black within a couple of days? Is yours a US spec. car? Other markets may have had different pads.
