Definitely worth it if you constantly drive in traffic (like I do). My commute is 60 miles each way, and part of it is sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Having the auto do the work is much more relaxing. I have a '93 900 turbo convertible 5-spd manual and I dread the days I take that car to work solely due to the shifting in traffic.
With the '06, I can manually shift the car when I want to with the steering wheel thumb paddles or with the shifter. Gives me the best of both worlds!
