My Bose Centerpoint sounds fine. I only lose FM channels when out in the country and that's because of distance.
When the car was new, though, the manual was unclear on whether I could have both the Equalizer display and the Centerpoint display. The dealer couldn't figure it out, either, and swapped the radio, under warranty, right away. Then it turned out that you need the Tech II to set it for either Equalizer display or Centerpoint, but not both.
So the dealer may not know what's going on.
