5) Can anyone recommend a good set of snow tires? I live in Ontario and we get a fair amount of snow.

I have Dunlop Winter Sport 3D's on my V6 Sportcombi (also 2006) and I found that they worked pretty well in Toronto weather without giving up much in terms of handling. I did move down to the 215/55/16 though.

6) I am concerned about the ground-clearance of the front of the car and how it sturdy it would be to drive on a snow-covered, unploughed road. Any comment?

Ground clearance shouldn't be too much of a problem, but watch out when parking up against a curb or parking divider, and be careful on steep driveways or any hard surfaces, ice mounds (in the winter). I'm thinking of picking up a regular spoiler from the standard model for winter use to avoid any winter issues (if it's cheap enough).

Have fun driving; it's a great vehicle.
