If the new in-tire modules do not need to be programmed, it is my error. I had read differently elsewhere. I guess I'll go with someone's actual experience.
Still, $300 is a lot money for tire pressure gages. Do I take it that the $26 was not for Shrader units, but the connectors, etc?
I have examined one of these units, a Shrader, from my fiance's 2008 Subaru, after she bent a rim. We put the original unit into the replacement wheel, but it took quite a while for the Subie to re-adapt. Looking at their web site, Shrader appears to make units for most GM cars and a host of other manufacturers as well.
So your experience is, pay Tirerack in the neighborhood of $300 but that the units will be read by the Saab without further assistance from a Tech2 or other instrument?

I you can find the appropriate, compatible unit for far less than $70 each, I would be interested.
