It could be a lot of things. For instance, you may have the wrong pulley - just get a flash light and look at it carefully and count the ribs. Maybe you didn't get the belt mounted on each pulley properly. Maybe one of the idler pulleys is on it's way out. You need to remove the belt and check eack pulley and see if it wobbles or binds. Then, with a new belt on, you need to see if all the pulleys are aligned. My alternator takes a 6-rib belt, but I don't know about the newer cars... Ron
