Turns out that 'GM' did not have a solution for this and bought my car back under Lemon Law last Spring. I had ALL the related components replaced and it is a defect in the software, which they did not have a handle on. Apologize for no posting sooner. The whole process was not fun. The dealer as usual WAS WONDERFUL, the best I have ever dealt with.

Sadly, at the moment I am not a Saab driver, but hopefully the whole GM fungus will be removed from the Saab brand with Spyker's ownership now. This supposedly does not happen to all 9-3s, but part of the settlement did not allow me to get another 9-3. As the 9-5 is too big for me, I had to bail out of the brand.

I hoped that the 9-3x would not have the problem, but the dealer knew of some issues with that setup also. I await patiently ...

My real desire is for a diesel hybrid 9-3, what a perfect combination!
