Ok, so the car probably lost touch with a computer over the network due to the drained battery and thinks it is installed fresh again.
You will have to find a Saab shop with the right equipment and see if it is as easy as just coding the ECU back to the car or if the drained battery killed something.
I guess you can try to remove battery cables from battery and hold the terminals together for a few minutes to drain memory and then hook them up to the battery again.
)3-04 have a nasty tendency to kill radio components if battery is drained and the car is jump started for instance.
Even newer 9-3 can develop strange things as I just learned recently from my wifes 07 that lost the radio function completely when battery was really low. My scan tool could not detect anything wrong but when I removed and installed a new battery, the radio was working again.
