That was a good suggestion John, but that doesn't appear to be it. I hope it would be it but jacking it up and spinning the wheels didnt point in that direction. The fluid is greasy/oily but hoses off as if it were water soluble
The fluid is kind of like a faded old old old blue 99. It looks like it comes from behind the rear facia in the wheel well and get pulled up along the wheel well above the spinning tire. The tire however shoes no signs of having been wetted.
