The other version of the "Italian Tune-up" that I've seen some other techs perform (in attempt to remedy strange code gremlins) is to pour sea-foam (or other other such additive) into the fuel tank and/or engine intake and proceed to rev the hell out of the engine on a short, hot test drive. 0_o
dont really believe in the method myself, but any engine needs a good romp now and then to "blow the carbon out" (so to speak).
And the low grade fuel that people insist on filling there vehicles with certainly isn't helping all of this sensitive technology either.
