One more kink to work out... Throttle body? Posted by B Millar [Email] (#1109) [Profile/Gallery] (more from B Millar) on Tue, 14 May 2013 16:09:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just throwing this out there to see if anyone else has had the issue and a resolution.
'08 Turbo-X. 70k miles. I bought the car in March and just got it back from the dealer after the front transfer case, drive shaft, a CV boot, and an axle seal were replaced, for a grand total of $4,681.
Since buying it it has a stumble most noticeable driving on the highway when the engine makes VERY SLIGHT adjustments to power demand. It's very apparent in cruise control when you get to the crest of a gentle incline and it kicks back power. I get a pretty rough stumble. At first I thought it was a quick succession of bumps in the road but after driving it for 2k miles and having more a feel for the car, it's not road imperfections. No dash lights or codes or anything. I'm thinking throttle body? It was pretty dirty when I peaked in there a few weeks ago. I got some cleaner and tooth brushes but I'm waiting for it to cool off.
Any suggestions? I'd love to get it resolved before driving to Carlisle this weekend.
