V6 chipping... Posted by magalar [Email] (#1325) [Profile/Gallery] (more from magalar) on Tue, 30 Aug 2016 18:38:07 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi everyone,
One of my best buddy owns a dyno shop here in Montreal, and he tells me he will chip, or more adequately, tune a B284L FWD V6 next week. He tells me they are very easy to do, as these engines use a Bosch ECU like many other cars.
I'll let this car go, and be the guinea pig, and then mine (XWD and manual) will be the next. Now, my main goal is to improve fuel econonmy, as this car is very thirsty (17.5 L/100km, or 13 mpg in stop and go city driving).
Do you think he can do it ? I know of a few cars that had better mileage after a tune, according to their owners. But it can also be wishful thiking...
