Just not enough brake bite with that model unless you have semi-metallic pads installed. I had a young girl bolt across the road in front of me one night at dusk on foot. The car would not stop quickly enough

Thank God she was quick!

Semi-metallic pads went on the rear the next week as that end felt the weakest. I now have semi-metallic pads at all four corners of that car. I still love the feel of the Mintex 'Red Box' pads I installed on my 2000 9-5 but they are not offered for sale in the US. Stomp on the brakes with those puppies installed and the rear seat passengers find themselves in the front seat!
