I ordered the kit from Taiwan pictured in the Youtube video by Posted by saabniner [Email] (#617) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabniner) on Mon, 21 Jun 2021 06:18:16 In Reply to: I received my Trionic ECU Heat & Vibration Elimination Kit today, MI-Roger [Profile/Gallery] , Fri, 18 Jun 2021 09:25:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Auto Autopsy, $50 plus shipping, got it in a few days via DHL. IMHO this is a quality kit, including orange bakelite-like insulation plate which fits between ECU and intake manifold. Took about an hour with a cool engine, reportedly lowers temp of the unit by 85-100 degreesF. Unfortunately too late to save my sick ECU, throwing numerous codes. Got replacement ECU from Goldwing, downloaded the TX Suite to my windows laptop, with a new ODBLinkSx adapter was able to clone the new (old) ECU to my sick one, took several tries as you need to the follow the instructions carefully. After a long initial cranking she started right up with no codes. After several days one old lingering code has reappeared (P1453), can't find yet any cause or fix yet. Otherwise I'm satisfied with the replacement EC;, SWEDECAR is right, it was insane to bolt the ECU directly to the intake manifold at the factory-what were they thinking?
