It's not necessary to remove the ECU connectors. I did this job on my two 9/3s, and the video on Youtube has a number of steps that aren't really necessary.

If you remove the bolts that hold down the ECU, which you have to do anyway, you can just fold it up and out of the way for a moment to insert the bakelite plate and bolts under it, there's no need to disconnect it from the cables at all. You don't need to disconnect the air intake hose, either, though you might have to loosen the clamp to get the clamp-tightening screw out of the way so you can pull the engine cover mount off.
