Hello,
I believe that it working better after some driving points to the O2 working fine and the timing being just slightly off. The O2 has adjusted the long term fuel mixture so that the car starts fine until its too cold and then when the O2 heats up after a cold start and starts working (a few minutes) it smooths out again. So eventually it wouldn't hurt to have the timing set with tools. If the battery dies or you clear codes it will probably return to a rough idle again until it sets the long term fuel trim. Good Luck, Bernie
