Stereo ‘popping’ 10-12 sec after power car off-new and consistent

‘06 2.0T Combi
159k, owned for 9 years, since 100k

Last week started with a big pop sound 10-12 seconds after turning power off to the car. Loud pop, like plugging an electric guitar in while it’s hot. Strong enough I feel the pressure in my ears suddenly.
Occurs even if I had stereo off when driving, it’s like there’s a surge going through the speakers after main power cuts off.

Stereo works fine otherwise, just worried this will blow a speaker, and it’s loud/annoying.

Only change to car in last 6 months was that I swapped shark fin antennae a few months ago because plastic was cracking, but I had wrong model (had part in my garage for years), so it’s not plugged/connected. No recent battery disconnect for repairs or any other electrical work.

Any troubleshooting advice appreciated!
