P0089 and P0411, does one cause the other?

I have a 2006 9-3 Aero SC manual, and P0089 came up. I replaced the fuel pressure sensor and the issue went away, only to return again a few months later. As the car gave no signs of problem other than the light I continued to drive, after a few more months, P0411 showed up. As none of the local parts stores seemed to be able to get their hands on the check valve that was said to be needed to clear the issue, i continued to drive the car. The last time I drove it when I emerged from the car I got a whiff off a kind of rotten egg smell, as if the catalytic converter was unhappy. I went overseas for a month and then drove another car for a month, now I'm ready to address it, does someone have an idea of what might be going on and how best to address it? Sincerely, Brian
