The sunroof on my wife's 2006 SC stopped working about 6 years ago, would not close completely.

We took it to our local SAAB Specialist and they diagnosed it as a defective gear on the drive motor. They replaced the motor & gear with one from a parts donor car and it has been fine since.

They showed the defective unit to me and I could barely see any wear! But the problem is gone.
