I used Buck's pics from Saabsite and went through the steps according to Compaqted's post (links below).

In the end it worked.

Here's what happened along the way:
-Took everything apart with no problems
-Found the broken piece and made the CPVC repair part... again no problem
-Widened the hole to insert the new CPVC part (wasn't easy with the file I had... too long) and inserted the piece.
-The pieces fit very tightly and I couldn't seem to get the end of the CPVC pipe to fit flat up against the end of the "webbed" piece. I figured this would work anyway and so I went ahead and did the calibration with the stepper motor in hand.
-Reassembled everything.
-With everything together, I did the calibration and heard a snap/crack; I got code 13 and code 08 again! Was dumbfounded...
-I took everything apart and noticed that the new part was pressing the webbed piece against a round air distribution flap.
-I initially thought it was due to the tight fit of the pices but realized that it was probably because the stepping motor wasn't aligned properly and was putting pressure on everything.

-This time I did the calibration with the motor off two times to get it in the right position and then put everything back together.
-Ran the calibration and no codes! Heat works like it should.

Thanks Buck and compaqted!

On a related note, anyone know where to get brushes for the blower motor? I had to take it out and blow the dust off to get it working again. Brushes aren't gone yet but I forsee problems in the not-so-distant future...

Alex
