The Acuras got dinged pretty hard in the crash tests where they took into account the seats and headrests. The 9-5 did well. The 9-5 also has side airbags and is considered by the insurance industries the safest car in the world. Don't try to rationalize your decision based on safety. Between that, the high SUV rollover rate, and your loved ones in the crumple zone you're standing on a peg-leg.
