Andrej just gave a very good piece of advice. Change the oil and the brake fluid before going to the track. Inspect the car properly, including the tires (I've found a bubble on the inner sidewall last year). Make sure the suspension is in order, nothing is loose under the hood -- clamps, hoses, battery. Check your idler pulley too.

What kind of brake pads are you running? I recall some posts from Viggen owners on the Performance boars about wearing out the stock pads in a day. The 9-5 is an even heavier car, and I can see several long straights followed by sharp corners on the track map, so there will definitely be some hard braking. It might make sense to take a spare set of front pads with you, or put a track compound set on. On the other hand, you should be fine with street pads this first time. I've been running EBC Greenstuff and AC Delco Ceramics, which seem to last about 25-30K km with a few track days a year.

Make sure your car is completely empty before it goes to the track. Your instructor or inspector will make sure of that. Many schools make you empty the glovebox, the trunk, unload the toolbox and remove the floor mats. Bring a waterproof plastic bin or a bag to store your belongings. I've included a link below -- there's a good write-up for beginners on the Canadian Saab Club's driving school website.

39 psi for 16" tires is OK, if not a bit too much. Check if there's an air pump at the track. If not, bring your own. Some people rotate tires between runs, so you might want to consider it too (it might not be necessary though). That calls for a hydraulic jack and a torque wrench -- I'm sure you'll find somebody to borrow them from on the spot, but it's nice to have your own tools.

On the track, the car with a stock suspension will understeer A LOT. Don't force it, try to find a balance. It sounds obvious, but it's very true -- you will drive faster when you're not trying to do so. You'll want to upgrade the suspension after the first run ;). Aero anti-roll bars help a lot, the full roadholding kit or a set aftermarket of springs and dampers do an even better job.

The last word of caution. Run while you can. If you try it, you'll get hooked. And it's a very expensive hobby ;)
