I have a 1999 9-5 SE 2.3 LPT 5 speed that I just purchased the end of January. I live in Syracuse, NY so good traction and handling is very important to me. I had a set of new 15" snow tires on wheels from my 92 9000. I purchased used 15" steel wheels for the 9-5. We had a very major blizzard before the steel wheels were delivered. The tires on the car, which were Nokian WR, did very, very well in extremely poor driving conditions. I still prefer dedicated snow tires and did put the snows one. One thing I would caution. When I put the Nokians back on this spring I found them to be a bit noisy. Not terrible, but noticible. If you want to go with an all-season tire yet have decent winter driving ability I would definitly reccomend the Nokian WR.
