Biggest nightmares for DIY Owners?

In reading over the board, I have noticed a pattern of problems that keep cropping up for 9-5 owners. These problems appear to include:
-Throttle bodies
-ABS/TCS modulators
-SID
-DI Cassette
What do all of these things have in common? They all appear easy to replace for the Do It Yourself mechanic. Also, these parts could be bought from a recycler for a fraction of new.
So what are the most troublesome parts that are also the most difficult/impossible and expensive for a DIYer?
