Don't replace a working DIC.

Just make sure that you change the spark plugs at the proper intervals as that seems to lead to DIC failure. If you use the pricey platinums that the dealers use (or should be using), you should swap out at 30,000 miles (convert for Kms). If you use cheaper plugs, most change them at 10 or 15,000 miles. In either case, Saabs seem to sensitive to plugs, so use only NGKs.

When done changing the plugs, put a light coat of dielectric grease around the inside perimiter of the plug boots (on the underside of the DIC) so that they will slip on and off a little easier.
