Serpentine Belt

When replacing the serpentine belt on the 4 cyl., what is replaced? Is the idler pulley replaced, or the tensioner pulley, or both? Is there a second idler pulley? I'm looking at the diagram from Eeuroparts and both the pulley directly above the tensioner (shown as #1) and the center pulley above the crankshaft pulley (shown as #5) are labeled idler. Should the tensioner itself be replaced? I'm coming up on 60,000 miles on my '02 Aero and with all the reports of belt noise listed on this board for the short belt, I'm want to go with the original long belt.
