Just a couple of things. I would look at a 2002 or later. The Aero is the sport version of the 9-5 with different suspension, seats, dash and a hotter engine. It is well worth the difference in cost. The V-6 is no longer in production. The only major concern with it is the 60,000 mile timing belt change - the first two are paid and done by Saab. Some early I4 engines had sludge problems but this has been identified by Saab and is being worked. That is one of the reasons I recommend a 2002 or newer. If you can, look at a Saab certified used one as they have a 100,000 mile warranty. Look at the Saab Cars USA website and see more info there. This B/B is a wealth of info but just remember that most come here when they have problems. Those with none have no need to. Good luck in your quest for a Saab and thank you for your service!
