Don't 'spose you're a Marine and stationed at Camp Pendleton near Oceanside? If you were you could come on over and get a lesson in 9-5 "101", 101 being the course # and the name of the road we're on.
Meanwhile here's what to look for. There's three trim levels, sedans and sportwagnons all. There's 2.3LPT, Light Pressure Turbo, there's the V6's called SE's in 2000 and 2001 (99's could be either 2.3 or V6 SE's) and in 2002 and 2003 the V6 was called the Arc and the 2.3lpt was the Linear 2002 and up. And then there's the Aeros, 2.3 HOT, High Output Turbo. Aeros were introduced for 2000 as were all the SportWagons.
2002's look slightly different in the nose and tailligts, came with 5 speed autos, and the Aeros got sport seats. I drive the new ones all the time and I'm quite happy with my 2000 Aero SportWagon and I couldn't afford a newer one at the time or now for that matter. The point being is that they are all quite good, there's no reason to reject any of them.
Keep up the good work, thank for your efforts, be safe and try and come home quick!
