One point for selling a new car as used ist that it avoids the federally required disclosure of paint or bodywork in excess of $500. There may be some other disclosure it avoids too. Again CPO doesn't eliminate cars that have had paint or bodywork and a manufacturer doing bodywork at the port for example probably wouldn't report it to CarFax. And I wouldn't flatly reject a car that had been repainted. I would have an experienced high-line body shop look it over.
