... work yesterday. Engine just stopped working and would not restart. Pulled over into a vacant parking spot and called a tow truck - $50. Good news is that it was covered by my extended warranty, I had the SID replaced as well under warranty - $100 deductable per visit. The battery had also been weak and the dealer replaced it with a new one as I had literally cranked it to death - $150.

It if was going to happen at some point it picked a great place to happen. City street with slight downhill grade, open parking space, sunny 28C, and very close to the dealer. There were warnings of the failure - the check engine light had been intermittantly lighting up in the two weeks prior.

While it was in the shop I had the Saab tech program the fogs to work without the headlights being on and program the fob to open all the doors with one push - $26.

All and all not too bad.
