My thoughts and a suggestion:

First, carry a 1 gal container of th appropriate radiator fluid. You might want to check it each morning when the engine is cold. Top off as necessary.

A green puddle by the right front wheel inside is a classic sympton of a water pump that must be replaced. The smell is that of antifreeze when it has been heated up.

I don't think that I'd risk any long trips until the problem has been resolved.

When the message appears, hit the clear button on the SID. If it immediately reappears and you're on level ground, add antifreeze or distilled water. If the leak becomes a condition where it's lost quickly DON'T DRIVE WITHOUT COOLANT!! Absence of coolant can ruin an engine.

Final note: You won't damage the engine as long as it has coolant.
