OK. The tech replaced the DIC on Thursday afternoon. It then started right up and he parked it outside for the evening. He went out Friday morning and the car started right up - first try. When I went to pick it up, it also started right up, about 3 hours later.

I drove the car Friday and parked it outside my house at about 6 p.m. Friday night. This morning at about 9:45 I got in the car and turned the key: L-OOOO-NG crank, NO START! Then about 6 or 7 stumble/starts, engine dies right away. Then normal start, short crank. SO, I am not just back to square one, the Aero is starting WORSE than it was the last time they tried to fix this.

For those of you keeping score (and before I forget...) so far I've had:
CPS replaced. DIC replaced. Old DIC put back. Then old DIC replaced with a new one again, which is what I've got right now. The tech said that he checked the fuel pump check valve and that system pressure was normal. - BUT - it occurred to me that perhaps he checked this AFTER he got the car started and into the service bay.

I know this is a CPO vehicle, but I've had it in 3 times now (3 days apiece) for the same problem. It started perfectly from last Feb. (when I bought it) to about July. Everything else about the car is great, but I am starting to get that that sinking feeling ....
